Erin Dominguez

Erin is a partner at Taubman Dias Dominguez LLP, a firm dedicated exclusively to the practice of family law.  Erin has been a Certified Specialist in Family Law as certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization since 2018, and a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) since 2021.

Erin represents individuals in all aspects of family law proceedings, including complex property division, business interests, child and spousal support, and custody and visitation.  While most matters can be settled through direct negotiation, mediation, or court settlement conferences, Erin is experienced in litigating matters at hearings and trial that cannot be resolved through settlement.  Erin also has extensive experience in domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) proceedings, parentage actions, and pre- and post-marital agreements.   Erin enjoys the practice of family law because of the connection with her clients at a difficult and transformative time in their lives, and because of the complex and varied factual or legal issues that arise in each case.

Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Erin was a partner at Simborg • Killingsworth and, earlier in her career, an associate in the family law department of Sideman & Bancroft LLP in San Francisco.  Erin began her legal career at Cooley LLP working on commercial litigation and antitrust matters.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Erin received her B.A. in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors.  In 2007, Erin received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, where she concentrated her course work on family law, co-founded the Family Law Society, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal.

Erin has served on the Board of Directors of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a national non-profit committed to advancing the rights of LGBT individuals and their families through impact litigation, education, and public policy advocacy.  Erin also co-runs a mentor group through AAML for mid-level family law associates and solo practitioners.
